Road trippin' to...

my grand mother's place.
My father, mother and I headed to the place where my grand mother is living by herself. It was a kind of long road trip. We had to attend a Buddist ceremony for my granpa -who passed away last year-, which was nice but too long sitting on the floor:-O
Then my family left and stayed at a hotel which is in the area of natural spa! I took a walk to see the huge statue on the top of a mountain -that was a lot of fun;-)

Trip to Kyoto

From Sunday September 3 to Tuesday September 5, I went on a trip to a famous city called Kyoto with my friend. Almost all of the visitors from overseas visit this place because of its historical heritages. The region I visited on first and second day is a mountainous area of Kyoto, so not many visitors can be seen compraed to urban area, although there are so beautiful temples built long time ago.
It was my first time to visit Kyoto, though I live in thins country more than 20 years, and I was very impressed. The history of Japan is going very deep and its culture is very beautiful!!! How amazing our anscesters are!

I'm glad that I finally made my way to touch the history of my country.

Summer Camp

Oouch!
I hit my body again and again, I have got many bruises on my body. It's because I was on Aikido training camp over the weekend in a small town near Mt.Fuji. From morning to night, we practiced, practiced and practiced...totally over 20 hours, i guess.
One special thing that made me enjoy the camp was to meet many alumni who have more experience.　I love meeting people, talking or practicing and learning something from them. I could learn lots from them and played with them a lot:-D The more I was thrown, the more I could learn!!
Also, this year we had two American exchange students in our club, which was cool to teach Aikido to them in English. Actually, they are very good at understanding Japanish;-P

i love to hang out with my friends!!!!! I am a very lucky girl to have great friends wherever i go and live in!
These days, my friend and i are seeking for vegetarian cafes in Tokyo. Last weekend, we went to raw food cafe in Shinjuku, located in Shiseido building! The food was good, very creative -i love that banananuts tarte. The friend in the pics is my GOLDEN friend -we've known each other for 10 years.

Then, last night my SILVER friend K-ta invited the Minnesotans to his house -to have japanese BBQ party with his family. Doesn't it sound great? We -the guests- all kept eating, eating, drinking, eating and then dreating... of course we had lots of talks over delicous food. Moreover we could see some beautiful firework!! What a wonderful summer night in Yokohama we were all fedup! Yummy

Thank all my friends for bing my great friends, i would love to hang out with you again!

Luxury time

In spite of chilly weather my mum, my friend's mum and I made a trip to the nice hotel near Mt. Fuji. We stayed over night and had a great time - to have a delicious dinner, see beautiful Japanese garden, take warm spa-bath, join a tea ceremony, had massage on a chair and then sleep in such a peaceful mountainous area. In Japan, at a Japanese style hotel we can borrow Japanese style pajama for free which is called Yukata. That's what i am wearing in some pics.
For me, the Japanese drum show at night was wonderful, so powerful that I could hear and feel the sounds without my hearing aids!

A Small Trip

Dad, Mum and I made a small trip to Onsen (hotspring/ spa) near Mt.Fuji.... actually it was supposed to be on my Mum's birthday last week. The place we went is one of my parents' favourite Japanese hotel, which has beautiful Japanese gardens and big baths. We enjoyed our lunch there and celenrated my mom's birthday again. Then we went out for a walk and visited a shrine to make a wish for my success in study:-)
It was such a small trip, but very pretty one as a family trip.

In my hometown

how beautiful the mountains are! I am living in a small town in a mountainous area near the mega-city Tokyo. In this afternoon, i went to onsen (hotspring /spa house like public bath) by myself. The one i went is quite new, and built on the top of a hill. So the view from the house is great and the natural hot spring healed my body tense and made me relaxed - i was in the bath for more than 1 hours. i loved the jacuzzi and misty sauna!!
it's such a luxury Sunday afternoon:-)
